民航资源网2023年11月9日消息：据Business Insider报道，目前，航空货运需求已经大幅放缓，联邦快递正鼓励其飞行员向美航旗下支线航司PSA航空公司申请工作岗位，转而向客运航班服务。

联邦快递发言人告诉Insider，美航旗下支线航司PSA航空目前正在高薪招募经验丰富的联邦快递飞行员，鉴于整个行业航空货运需求疲软以及联邦快递当前航班运营人员配置水平，联邦快递目前已与飞行员分享了这一消息。联邦快递在全球拥有约5800名飞行员，而PSA航空公司则拥有约1900名飞行员。

根据PSA航司的在线招聘页面，对岗位感兴趣的联邦快递飞行员有资格参加PSA航空公司机长职位的快速面试，PSA航空公司还向联邦快递飞行员提供25万美元的签约奖金。

据Freight Waves报道，联邦快递负责航班运营和培训的副总裁帕特·迪门托(Pat DiMento)表示，公司“人员严重过剩”。另据Freight Waves数据显示，自2022年第一季度以来，全球航空货运量同比下降超过8%，而与2022年相比，今年大部分时间货运费率下降了40%至50%。

与此同时，航旅需求激增，美国客运航司一直饱受飞行员短缺的困扰，联邦快递发言人表示：“联邦快递和美航多年来一直保持着良好的关系，这次招聘计划表明了美航对我们机组人员素质的认可，并为联邦快递飞行员提供了额外的职业发展机会。”
