据《先驱报》报道，欧洲最大廉航瑞安航空宣布在截至9月30日的六个月里盈利增长了59%，达到21.8亿欧元。预计全年收益将增加30%。瑞安航空表示，创纪录的夏季航空旅行需求和上涨的机票价格抵消了同样不断上涨的燃油成本。
瑞安航空称今年上半年机票价格平均上涨了24%左右，达到50欧元。今年第四季度平均票价将上涨15%。
2022年，Third Bridge的分析师曾警告称，“由于高油价和通货膨胀，廉价航空旅行的黄金时代已经结束”。
Edison Group董事Russell Pointon表示:“瑞安航空上半年的财务状况已经起飞，显示出强劲的行业反弹，因为航司在疫情后继续复苏……受票价上涨和夏季旅游高峰的推动。”
